Daniel M. ("Dan") Friedberg is Managing Partner at Hampstead Park Capital Management. Previously Dan founded and was Managing Partner and CEO of Sagard Capital Partners from 2005 to 2016. Prior to Sagard, Dan was a partner at Bain and Company leading the New York and Canadian private equity businesses. Dan joined Bain in 1987 and was a founder of the New York office in 2000. He has served on public company boards including X-Rite Corporation (XRIT), GP Strategies Inc. (GPX) and InnerWorkings Inc. (INWK). Dan received his MBA from Cornell and a B.S. honors degree from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology in England.
David (“Dave”) Marver is an experienced medical technology executive and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder and CEO of VICIS, a rapidly growing sports technology company. Prior to VICIS, he served as CEO of Cardiac Science Corporation, a NASDAQ-listed company with over 600 employees. Dave also spent fourteen years and held a variety of senior leadership positions in the US and Europe with Medtronic. Dave is a graduate of Duke University and has an MBA from the Anderson School at UCLA.
Donald R. (“Don”) Carlson is a Venture Partner at Rubicon Venture Capital and Senior Consultant at Lansberg Gersick & Associates, where he advises large family-owned and closely held corporations on governance, succession and philanthropy issues. Don has been an active early stage investor for nearly 20 years with over 25 portfolio company investments and a number of successful exits. He has served as a director or executive officer of high-growth companies in business services, technology, and renewable energy. During his tenure at Goldman Sachs, Don served as Chief Knowledge Officer for the Investment Banking Division and later as Chief of Staff for the General Counsel. He is currently on a “reverse sabbatical” as a Visiting Professor of Economics and Environmental Studies at Williams College. Don received his JD from Harvard Law ’86 and a B.A. from Williams College ‘83.
Timothy (“Tim”) Bock has served as a senior executive at Credit Suisse, where he was the Co-Head of Global Products and a member of the Global Management Committee of the Private Bank. Prior to that role, Tim was Co-Head of the Global Capital Markets businesses in the Investment Bank (Global Markets Solutions Group) and served on the Investment Bank’s Global Management Committee. Earlier in his career he led several other groups at CS including Americas Structured Origination, Global Equity-Linked Origination and North American Derivatives Coverage. Tim began his career at First Boston and received his B.A. from Williams College.
Marcello Halitzer is the founder and CEO of Buttonwood Network. Prior to Buttonwood, Marcello was an investor at Sagard Capital Partners, a hedge fund, covering both public and private equities as an industry generalist. He began his career at Credit Suisse in the Leveraged Finance Origination & Restructuring practice of the Global Markets Solutions Group. Marcello is a graduate of Williams College.
