Jason Langheier Md, mph
Founder and CEO
Jason Langheier is the CEO and Founder of Zipongo, a digital nutrition platform that delivers real-time support for all the places a person makes food decisions – at home, at work, at the grocery store, and at restaurants. Jay previously launched Boston Medical Center’s Nutrition and Fitness for Life pediatric obesity program, founded Fitness Forward and the Coack K Drive 2 Fitness health education program for low-income elementary-aged kids and was the Co-Founder and CTO of Proventys, that developed personalized cancer decision support, now part of US Oncology and McKesson. He studied medical school, biostatistics, and clinical research at DukeMed, Harvard, and UCSF respectively, following neuroscience research at Williams College, Cambridge, Duke, and the NIH.
Co-Founder and CFO
Milo Krastev is the co-founder and CFO of Zipongo. Prior to Zipongo, Milo led Growth Initiatives, Financial Strategy, and Analytics for Palantir Technologies. Milo was an investment associate for acitivist hedge fund ValueAct Capital. Before ValueAct, Milo was an investment banking analyst at Bank of America. Milo started his career as a web developer and is a graduate of Georgetown University.
Dexter Shurney MD
CMO & SVP Clinical Affairs
Dr. Shurney is the former Chief Medical Director / Executive Director for Global Health Benefits and Corporate Wellness for Cummins, Inc. Prior to Cummins, Dr. Shurney was the Chief Medical Director of the Employee Health Plan for Vanderbilt University and Medical Center. During his tenure at Vanderbilt he also held joint faculty appointments as Assistant
Clinical Professor, Division of Internal Medicine and Public Health, and Adjunct Faculty, Owens Graduate School of Management. Other positions that Dr. Shurney has held include Senior Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Healthways, Senior Health Policy Strategist in the Division of Government Affairs for the biotechnology company Amgen Inc., Chief Medical Officer and Vice President of medical affairs for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, and Editor of the Journal of Managed Care Physicians.
Dr. Shurney serves on numerous boards including: The American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) where he is President-elect, the Global Business Group on Health, and the National Association of Managed Care Physicians. From 2007-2009, he served as the Chair of the Tennessee Diabetes Prevention and Health Improvement Board, appointed by Governor Phil Bredesen. He was also the most recent Chair of the Business Strategies Committee for Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)/National Diabetes Education Program (NDEP). For 12 years he served as the American College of Medical Quality’s (ACMQ) elected delegate to the American Medical Association (AMA). Dr. Shurney is board-certified in general preventive medicine and public health. He is a fellow in the American College of Lifestyle Medicine.
Scott formerly led 23andMe's enterprise wellness program, leveraging personalized genetics to enhance engagement, behavior change, and overall wellness for employees and health plan members. Scott formerly served as Vice President of Product Marketing at Castlight Health, where he led Castlight's go-to-market efforts and built a revenue generating User Growth team focused on driving employee engagement. Prior to Castlight Health, Scott led Product Management and Enterprise Sales & Implementation at Phreesia, as well as held positions at McKinsey & Company, Accenture, and IBM. Scott holds an MBA with honors from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in Computer Sciences with honors, Phi Beta Kappa, from the University of Texas at Austin.
Alex Muresan is a well-respected, collaborative leader with a strong technical background, who understands the critical importance of relationship building. Prior to Zipongo, Alex led iOS technical development for the social discovery apps Sidewalk and Swoon. Alex has also worked on a variety of projects for AOL including the Webmail and Contacts features. Alex began his career at the Panasonic Wireless Design Center. He hold a degree in Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Greg is a proven sales leader with over sixteen years of sales management experience. Prior to Zipongo, Greg was responsible for leading Castlight Health’s Enterprise Sales team. Prior to joining Castlight, Greg was the first sales executive at SuccessFactors. During his tenure there, he held several managerial roles, culminating in this roles as National VP of Sales for Healthcare and National VP of Sales for Midmarket, where he managed cross-functional teams supporting six regions. Greg has also been a member of five founding teams, all of which had highly successful outcomes. Greg holds a business degree from Bryant University
VP, Customer Success
Heather is an entrepreneur and Customer Success executive offering more than 15 years of experience leading and growing high performance teams in fast-paced environments. Heather is passionate about customer satisfaction, seamless delivery, and building an awesome team culture. She is also an angel investor, start up advisor and a fierce proponent of the sharing economy. Prior to Zipongo, Heather has held senior roles at Fitbit, Castlight Health, Vodium, and Estco Medical. Heather graduated from the American University and holds a MBA from Vanderbilt University.
